Question about that food blogger who got called out for stolen recipes

So there's this popular food blogger with 500k followers who apparently copied 12 recipes word for word from a smaller creator. I saw her apology video and it felt more like damage control than real sorry. Has anyone else kept following her after that or did you unfollow right away?

Did anyone catch that article in Bon Appetit about how common this actually is in the food blogging world? I read it last week and it said something like half of all popular recipes online can be traced back to just a few original sources. It makes you wonder if any of these big accounts are truly original anymore. But for that specific blogger, I think the damage is done. Once you start questioning the authenticity of every single post, it's hard to come back from that as a follower.

The thing nobody is talking about is how this affects the people who actually trusted her recipes for years. Like, if she stole 12 recipes word for word, how many of the other 500 are legit hers versus pulled from some old cookbook or grandma's blog? My issue is less about the apology and more about wondering if her chocolate chip cookie recipe that everyone raves about is actually just a slightly tweaked version of the one from a 1980s Quaker Oats box. That trust is gone for me, not because of the drama, but because now I'm second-guessing every single thing she's ever posted.

Is it really that deep though @bettyfox? People act like every baker out there isn't just tweaking someone else's recipe from a box or a blog and calling it their own. I've made cookies off the back of a chocolate chip bag and people swore they were better than hers.
