Just watched a celeb hit 10k followers and immediately post a link to their 'exclusive' crypto wallet

They announced the milestone with a selfie then linked a sketchy token site in the same thread. Took about 20 minutes before someone pointed out the wallet address was a known scam.

nah i used to think crypto was just a fun thing for tech people honestly. but seeing that happen in real time changed my whole view. like the moment they hit that follower count they immediately dropped a link to some scam wallet and it got shared so fast before anyone could even check it. that's just gross. really opened my eyes to how easy it is for people to take advantage of fans who just want to support someone they like. now i'm way more careful about anything posted by people i follow especially around money stuff.

Tbh I started checking every link before clicking after someone used a celeb's hacked account to post a fake giveaway.
