Watching people try to learn Python without writing a single line of code themselves is wild.

They just watch videos for weeks and then wonder why they can't solve a basic problem. Has anyone else seen this and found a good way to tell them to just start typing?

Yeah the "wonder why they can't solve a basic problem" part is so real. My buddy did that with a guitar course, just watched all the videos for a month. Couldn't play a single chord when he finally picked it up.

Actually sounds like a memory issue, not just watching.

That "watched all the videos" thing is a perfect trap. A friend of mine did the same with a coding bootcamp preview, @faith684. He spent weeks just absorbing lectures about Python syntax. When he finally opened the editor to write his first line, his mind went totally blank. It's like your brain files it all away as entertainment instead of a skill you need to use.
