Overheard a dude in the galley talking about how he got tangled in his own umbilical
I was sitting in the galley on a boat out of Port Fourchon last week and this older diver was telling a story about how he almost got himself cut off from air because he set his umbilical wrong on a job. He said he wrapped it around a pipe without locking it off, and when the current shifted it pulled him sideways and kinked his hose. Made me think about how much we take those little habits for granted. Any of you guys got a close call story that changed how you rig your gear?

Gotta lock off every time or risk a real bad day.

My buddy left a door unlocked once and came back to find a raccoon just... living in his truck.

Ask how long it took before they realized the raccoon had moved in. Was it just sitting in the driver's seat like it paid the insurance, or did it drag in a whole pile of trash and make itself at home? That's the kind of thing you don't notice until you slide into a seat that's weirdly warm.
