Wasted $200 on a 'pro' drysuit repair kit that was totally useless
Honestly, I thought I was saving money by buying this big repair kit from some online shop. It had patches, glue, and all this stuff, cost me $200. Tried to fix a small tear near my wrist seal last weekend and the patch peeled off after 5 minutes in the water. The glue didn't bond at all with the trilaminate. Has anyone else had luck with a specific brand or method for drysuit fixes? I'm done guessing.

Tried Aquaseal and a scrap piece of nylon from an old dry bag, that combo held up through multiple dives now. Did you rough up the area around the tear first before applying the glue?

I used to think expensive kits were worth it too, but now I just use Aquaseal and a patch from the fabric store.

Fabric store patch and Aquaseal" brings back memories. I once patched a wetsuit with some duct tape and a prayer before a surf trip, worked way better than expected.
