Compared raw food vs kibble for my dog for 6 months straight

After tracking his energy and coat shine on both diets, raw food won by a mile but the prep time is honestly brutal, anyone else find a middle ground that works without spending 3 hours in the kitchen every Sunday?

Raw food won by a mile but the prep time is honestly brutal" pretty much sums up my entire relationship with cooking for myself too. I tried meal prepping for my dog and ended up with ground beef in my hair and a counter that looked like a crime scene. If you find that sweet spot between convenience and quality, let me know because I'm still eating cereal for dinner most nights.

Wait, you actually ended up with ground beef in your hair?

Oh man, I gotta say something here because "cereal for dinner" is a classic move but I've actually found a half-decent compromise for the dog food situation. You don't have to go full raw or full kibble - I do a mix where I prep like 2 pounds of ground meat and some frozen veggies once a week, takes maybe 40 minutes total, and I freeze it in portions. Then I just mix a scoop of that with some high-quality kibble for each meal. Stops the counter looking like a crime scene and keeps my dog's coat pretty shiny too. Have you tried something like that or are you still stuck in the cereal loop?
