Dropped $120 on a decent salon chair for my home setup
I've been doing small client work from my garage for about 5 months now. My old chair was a cheap folding one and after 3 appointments my lower back was screaming. Picked up a used Takara Belmont off Facebook marketplace for $120 and it made a huge difference for both me and my clients. Anybody else find a good deal on used equipment that actually worked out?

Been reading that a lot of stylists swear by proper posture over any chair upgrade, but honestly that Takara Belmont for $120 is ridiculous, those things usually go for triple that on the high end.

Are you sure your back pain was from the chair and not from bending over clients all day? I've seen people drop good money on a used chair thinking it's the fix, but they still end up hunched over. A $120 Takara Belmont sounds like a steal though, those things are built like tanks. Just make sure the gas cylinder and base are still solid, those are the first things to go on older chairs.

You got me rethinking that, "bending over clients all day" really hits different now.
