Lattice boom vs hydraulic - night and day difference

Had a 300 ton lattice crawler on a bridge job in Toledo a few months back. Load charts were a pain. Switched to a 275 ton hydraulic with a jib. Setup time dropped from 3 hours to 45 minutes. Anyone else find hydraulics way easier to work with on tight urban sites?

Yeah the time savings on hydraulic setup makes a huge difference when you’re fighting city traffic and tight schedules.

THREE hours for setup? That's insane.

Did you run into any issues with the hydraulic's reach versus the lattice on that bridge job? I mean, I've heard guys say hydraulics can struggle more with picking over obstacles or getting the same boom angle in tight spots. Was it a straight pick situation for you, or did you have to do some tricky stuff where the lattice might have actually been better?
