PSA: The channel depth at the old Miller's Bend site went from 4 feet to over 12 in just two months after we switched from a 6-inch to a 10-inch cutterhead.

Has anyone else seen a cut that aggressive from just a head swap, or did we just get lucky with the sediment composition?

That's a crazy jump in depth.

Read an article about how some companies are just adding more layers to old tech and calling it deep. Like slapping a bigger number on a camera sensor but the software can't keep up. The jump looks good on paper but the real world results are the same blurry photos in low light. Makes you wonder if the specs are for marketing more than actual use.

Bring @dakotawood into the room and ask him if his phone's "AI enhanced night mode" actually makes things look like a wet painting too. Bigger numbers on the box sell units but my buddy's three year old phone takes clearer photos of his dog in the dark than the new one he just bought. Same blur, just a fancier version of it.
