That concrete finisher who told me to wet the slab before stamping...
Old timer named Pete insisted I spray the slab down just before the stamp went on. Saved me from a total tear-out on a 400 square foot patio job last Tuesday. Any of you guys do this or just stick to the release powder?

Gotta trust the old timers, they learned concrete the hard way.

The hard way" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Is laying concrete really that deep, or is it just mixing mud and waiting?

My first slab slumped six inches because I eyeballed the mix, so yeah @ray_miller41, I learned the hard way too.
