Just hit 15 years in the trade and the number kinda shocked me

Started my apprenticeship right after high school in 2009, and my wife pointed out the anniversary date on my union card. It feels like just yesterday I was pulling wire for my journeyman. Does that time ever start to feel real, or does it always just sneak up on you?

Man, it's wild how time works like that. I notice it with my car, it's a 2012 model and that still feels "new" to me, but the math says otherwise. My dad will talk about stuff from the 90s like it was last week. I guess our brains just file the routine years away in a big folder labeled "lately" and only check the date when something makes us.
