PSA: My steamer's safety valve blew out during a facial last month
I was 20 minutes into a hydrafacial on a client when it made a loud pop and shot steam across the room. I had to stop the service, refund her, and order a whole new unit from my supplier. Has anyone had to replace a specific safety valve on a CaviPro steamer before?

Yikes, that sounds more like a geyser than a facial.

Wait, you've never tried one? I used to think they looked crazy too, but my friend talked me into it and it actually feels amazing (and way less messy than it seems).

Is that really a problem with the valve or the whole unit? I've had my CaviPro for years and never had a safety valve fail like that. It sounds like maybe the pressure was building up way too high for some reason, which the valve is supposed to stop. Could it have been a clog or something else that made it overheat? I'd check the whole system before just swapping that one part.
