That one Thursday last month where everything went right

I had this random Thursday where 3 clients no showed in the morning and I was so stressed about money. Then in walks this walk in who had been referred by someone I treated like 6 months ago. She ended up buying 2 packages and tipped $40 on top. Then my 2pm regular brought me a coffee and said I saved her skin from a breakout before her wedding. Just a weirdly good day after a rough start. Anyone else have a day that totally flipped on you unexpectedly?

Derek's got a point but I'm pretty sure my brain is too scrambled to notice those patterns. I'll just be sitting there wondering why a stranger smiled at me and convince myself they must have mistaken me for someone competent. My good days usually involve me tripping over nothing but catching myself before anyone sees, which is basically a win in my book.

Thing is, those days feel random but they're not. There's a pattern I've noticed. People remember who actually helped them. That referral from six months ago. That's the real payoff. You do good work once and it just sits there. Then months later it comes back when you least expect it. Most people never see the connection.
