My barber in Cincinnati said he's quitting all social media because the constant 'post a story or get forgotten' pressure is making him hate his own shop.

That hit me because I've been chasing every new 'must-do' format for my small business page, and I realized I'm not even sure if my customers care about half of it, or if I'm just feeding an algorithm that will change next month.

That's the key right there, asking what they actually want. You could save so much time just focusing on that one thing.

My buddy who runs a food truck just asked his regulars what they actually check on his page. Turns out they only care about the weekly special and location changes.

Whoa, a taco spot near me did that survey and found out half their regulars didn't even know they had a rewards program.
