Remember when everyone was making those 24-hour Snapchat stories?

I used to post my whole day on there back in 2016, but now I just put a photo on Instagram that stays up. The change happened when Instagram copied the feature and more people started using it for things like ads and links. Do you think the 24-hour story format is here to stay, or will it get replaced by something else soon?

Totally agree it feels old. The magic wore off when every brand and influencer started posting ten slides a day. Now it's just another place for swipe up links and ads disguised as casual updates. The format might stick around, but the original feeling of sharing dumb, real moments is long gone. It's just part of the content machine now.

The 2016 election was the first time I saw a major news outlet use a story as their front page. That's when it stopped being a personal feed and became a broadcast channel. The real shift happened way before the influencers showed up.

It's already getting old, honestly.
