Shoutout to the lady who told me to stop sketching on white paper

She said to try a mid-gray sketchbook in my Atlanta class last month, and now my color palettes look way more true. Anyone else switch up their base sketching material?

My fifth grade teacher made us use that bright white construction paper for everything and I always got headaches. I figured it was just me being dramatic until I tried gray paper for notes last semester and my eyes didnt feel fried after an hour. Seriously reconsidering all those white notebooks in my closet now.
