Saw a guy on YouTube break this down and he said auto captions win because they match how people actually talk, not how we think they talk. Your handmade hook was probably too clean, too planned out. The app just spits out the words the way ears expect them.

That jingle is actually in A flat major and uses a rising fourth right at the start, which is why it burrows in so deep. Your brain latches onto that jump because it never quite resolves where you expect, so it keeps replaying the loop trying to finish it. The trick that worked for me after a week of the Mentos song was singing the whole thing out loud, start to finish, with the real ending, a couple times in a row. Once your head hears the song actually close out, the loop stops having a reason to run. You can also try chewing gum while it plays in your head, the jaw motion messes with the same circuit your inner voice uses. Three days is rough but you are not stuck with it forever.
