That AI face swap filter on TikTok turned my cat into a nightmare last night

I always thought people were overreacting about them glitching out, but after the filter gave my tabby my dad's beard and then melted his face into the carpet in real time, I'm done trusting those things, has anyone else had a filter basically break your phone's brain for a minute?

My phone's been through way worse filters and it's still kicking, sounds like your Wi-Fi just took a nap at the wrong time. It's a goofy Snapchat thing, not a demon possession.

Hear me out though, I've seen Snapchat do some weird stuff but nothing like full on freezing or audio lag that lasts minutes. You're acting like it's always a Wi-Fi hiccup but my buddy's phone does the same thing on strong 5G. Feels more like their filter rendering is just poorly coded and hogs too much memory than a simple connection drop. I get what you're saying about it not being a demon but it's not just a "oops disconnected" situation either.

Wait but has anyone checked if their phone is just running out of storage? I've noticed my phone lags like crazy on Snapchat filters whenever my storage is under like 2GB free. Maybe it's not the app or the wifi, just your phone barely having room to breathe.
