That Snapchat filter added 30 pounds to my face overnight

I used a dog filter on a selfie last week and my chin turned into a blob that looked like melting cheese. The glitch fixed itself after I rebooted the app but my friends already screenshotted it. Has anyone else had a filter randomly warp your face shape like that?

Did it make you look heavier in a really weird way, like your whole face just kind of slid sideways? That happened to me once with a filter that made my jaw look three times wider than it actually is, and I could not figure out how to undo it. I just ended up deleting the whole thing and restarting my phone, which finally fixed it but not before a few friends saw the blooper reel.

Found that closing all my open apps worked for me once, @umathompson had a good point about the undo button thing.

Why is it that technology always seems to pick the worst possible moment to mess with your face like that? It's like these filters and apps have a secret goal to make everyone look like a melted candle before they get it sorted out. I've noticed this pattern everywhere lately, not just with face filters but with all sorts of tech glitches that pop up right when you're trying to look normal or have fun. The whole thing feels like a modern day version of those old photo booth pictures that would come out blurry or with half your face cut off, except now it's digital and way more embarrassing because friends can see it instantly. I honestly think these companies design the undo button to be impossible to find on purpose, just to give you a little panic moment. Isn't it funny how a simple phone glitch can make you feel like the whole world just saw your weirdest side?
