inVent: I tried that 'stretching a room dry' method on a 15x20 in a Phoenix summer house and the whole thing buckled after 2 days.
My last job in Tucson had a client demand the same thing on a 12x18. The pad shrank back a full inch from every wall by the next morning, it was a total mess. You just can't cheat the power stretcher in dry heat.

inI think the 'no cordless' rule for shop vacuums is a bit much
Ha, my cordless one still works after I dropped it off a ladder. Guess I'm not the best test case. But yeah, @max_rodriguez71 is right, the new ones are solid. People just hate change.

inSpotted a wildflower display at the Denver airport that gave me a new idea
Yeah the blue horse is wild lol. I saw they planted a bunch of prairie grass and penstemons near the baggage claim last time I flew out. It actually made that long walk feel less like a warehouse.

inTried using a 4-inch hole saw on a 2x4 and it did not go as planned
My buddy had that exact problem with his router last month. He was cutting some plywood and the back was a total mess. He tried a downcut bit after seeing it online and said it was a night and day difference. The top surface stayed super clean and the tear-out went into the waste piece. He did say you have to go a bit slower, but it fixed the issue completely. Honestly, watching his results made me want to buy one too.

inSpent a whole afternoon on a printer that was just unplugged
Oh man, that's the worst feeling. Once had a laptop that wouldn't charge no matter what. Replaced the power jack, the battery, the whole board. The user's cat had chewed the actual cable near the plug, but the damage was hidden under the desk leg. Felt like a total genius after that one.
