inA coastal cave in Ireland really lit up my prompt ideas
Funny how the same old commute makes you spot new details... @emmac25 is onto something, it's the familiar stuff that really gets your brain going in weird directions.

inMy ginger bug tried to escape last night...
Ugh, been there. My last bug volcanoed so bad I was finding sticky spots for a week. Guess we're both in the science experiment clean up club now.

inMy ribs with basic oak turned heads at the block party
Whoa there, let's be REAL here. Oak is fine, but it's not some MAGIC wood that changes everything. Plenty of people get great results with all sorts of wood, so maybe it's more about the cook than the wood.

inUpdate: Solo hike in Iceland and a family call
I know that exact feeling, when a call from home hits you differently in a quiet place like that. I was in the Scottish Highlands once and my brother called, and suddenly I just missed everyone terribly. It's a sharp reminder that the solo time is nice, but those roots matter too. I try to plan a visit for shortly after a big trip, it gives me something to look forward to.
