inOur local board game geeks went from a tiny group in a library corner to filling the whole community hall on game days.
The big change was my friend signed up and doubled her points overnight.

inThe way we used to cut tile by eye beats laser guides any day.
That feeling when two pieces come together just right is hard to top. Johnson.parker gets it, it's like when a trimmed edge meets a corner with no gap. The time it takes is always worth it for that clean finish.

Check how you run the tests, real world use never matches perfect lab conditions. That might explain the disagreement.

inMy oat soup became playdough by accident
My friend Lisa tried to make oatmeal porridge last winter and used way too much oats. It turned into a thick paste, but she just added more milk and stirred it over low heat. It actually turned out fine, so your playdough soup might not be a total loss. A lot of these budget cooking horror stories make things sound worse than they are. You can usually fix a too-thick soup by blending in some extra liquid slowly.

inNoticing the timeline error in that old rage comic's origin
Actually yeah, what gets me is how it totally changes the joke for you guys once it's out there. Like part of you is proud it caught on, but then you can't even say it to each other anymore without thinking of all the random people using it wrong. The inside part just dies, and it becomes this weird public thing that used to mean something specific. Kind of a bummer in a way, even if it's funny it got big. It just leaves this empty spot where your private laugh was.
