Overheard a sales guy tell a customer 'every alarm goes off a few times a month'

I was at a supply house in Phoenix last week grabbing some Qolsys panels when a sales rep told some homeowner that false alarms are normal. He said they happen like every two weeks. That's just bad installation in my opinion, I've done over 100 houses and maybe get one false call a year. Has anyone else run into sales guys making wild claims like this?

lol i mean he's not totally wrong though. i started out working for a big company that pushed those 2gig panels and they would false alarm like crazy from spiders or dust, legit every other week sometimes. depends on what hardware and installers you got, not everyone has your standards lol.

Yeah swapping to honeywell sensors pretty much fixed all that for me.

Nope, @hollyc92 nailed it. false alarms are just part of living with tech these days.
