Serious question, my old pressure-treated raised bed finally gave out after 15 years in the Houston humidity.
The corner post rotted right through last weekend, so I had to tear the whole 8-foot section down and rebuild it with cedar, which cost me about $200 more than I planned.

My cedar bed cost a fortune too, but it'll last forever!

Fifteen years is a solid run, like umathompson said. It feels like everything built to last just quietly gets more expensive to replace now. That cedar upgrade stings, but at least it should outlive the old one.
