Wait, does a brand apology even get you to buy from them again? I saw that whole Peloton fiasco a few years back. They put out a statement but people were still mad. It's just words on a screen now.

Honestly, I barely even notice those corporate apology statements anymore. Half the time it's just damage control until the next thing blows up.

I get that take, @daniel_walker, but I actually see these statements a little differently than you do. In my experience, a good apology can be a real first step if the company actually follows through with changes down the line. Yeah, some are just damage control, but I've seen a few turn into real policy shifts once the pressure stays on.
