I stopped buying coffee out and it saved me $680 in 3 months
I was dropping $5-6 almost every morning at this cafe near my office. I bought a $20 thermos and started making my own pour-over at home, and even with the bag of beans every 2 weeks I'm still way ahead. Anybody else shocked at what they actually spend on little daily habits?

Respectfully, good coffee is worth the $5 to me.

Five dollars for a single coffee though... that adds up real fast over a month. People act like it's some kind of luxury experience but it's literally just beans and hot water. I get enjoying a nice cup but that price point is more about branding than actual quality half the time. Most places charge that much and still burn the milk or use stale beans anyway. Feels like we've all just accepted that paying cafe prices is normal when it really isn't.

Making my own cold brew at home cut my coffee spending by almost 75% and honestly tastes just as good. I'm with you on the thermos investment being a total game changer.
