Had to pick between 'delulu' and 'gaslighting' for my team chat and both were bad picks

My coworker kept saying she was 'delulu' about finishing a project on time, and I had to tell her to stop. Then another team member said I was 'gaslighting' them when I asked for a deadline update. I chose to just ban both words from our group chat after that. It's been two weeks and nobody has used either term since. Has anyone else had to put a hard rule on office slang? I feel like I'm back in middle school policing language.

Haha, sounds like your team chat needed a vocabulary intervention more than a project manager!

Had a coworker once use "synergize" five times in one meeting.

Totally feel that, some people just love their buzzwords way too much.
