Overheard a cashier say 'pookie' to a customer and the whole line lost it
I was at a suburban TJ Maxx last Saturday when this teenage cashier called a grumpy older guy 'pookie' while handing him his receipt, and he just stared at her like she spoke alien. I swear the woman behind me snorted so loud it set off three people coughing. Has anyone else heard that word pop up in the wild or am I just late to this trend?

Just nod and say "thanks bud" back to keep the line moving.

Nodding and muttering "thanks bud" just feels so fake to me though.
