Just burned $400 on a 'premium' finish that peeled in a month

Bought a new brand of catalyzed lacquer from a supplier, claimed it was super durable for kitchen cabinets. Applied it to a maple vanity project for a client. Three weeks after install, the finish started peeling near the sink, looked awful. Had to strip and refinish the whole thing on my dime. Anyone have a go-to finish that actually holds up to moisture?

Saw a woodworking forum thread where a guy swore by General Finishes Enduro-Var for wet areas. He used it on a bathroom vanity that gets soaked daily, said it's been solid for two years. Another person mentioned Target Coatings EM9300, but they said you have to follow the spray instructions exactly. I'd be looking for something specifically labeled for kitchen and bath use, not just general purpose. That supplier sold you junk, plain and simple.

Super durable" my foot, what a rip-off.

Read a blog post from a pro finisher who only uses conversion varnish for kitchens and baths. He said nothing else bonds as well to wood under constant wet conditions. It's a two part system, needs good ventilation. More work to apply but it's basically bulletproof. That supplier should be ashamed selling you a bad product.
