I thought digital painting was just fancy mouse clicks until I tried a tablet.

Borrowed a friend's old Wacom for a weekend. The pressure sensitivity for line weight changed my whole view. Anyone else have that moment where a tool made it click?

Totally get that. My first try looked like a toddler with a crayon, but it was a game changer.

My buddy swore by his tablet for years and I just didn't get it. He finally sat me down and made me try a simple brush stroke, and watching the line go from thin to thick with just a little push totally blew my mind. It was exactly like what brian_rivera59 said, a total game changer that makes you feel like you're actually drawing. He went from these stiff digital sketches to stuff that looked like real paint in a matter of weeks. Kind of makes you wonder what other tools you're sleeping on, you know?

That pressure sensitivity thing is wild. My friend's kid has one and her art went from flat to having real depth almost overnight. What's the biggest skill jump you've seen someone make after switching tools?
