My mentor caught me over-exfoliating a client's face in Miami last summer
I was doing a chemical peel on a regular and she said 'why does my face feel hot after every session?' and I finally realized I'd been leaving the acid on 3 minutes too long for 6 months straight. Has anyone else had a senior esthetician call them out on something basic that you thought you had down?
Oh man, I get where you're coming from but I actually see it a little different. I mean, I think red still has its place, it's just not automatic that red means good across the board. For me it depends a lot on the context, like if I'm looking at a map for crime stats or something then yeah red is bad all the way. But if it's about temperature or pollution or whatever, red just means more of something, not necessarily bad. Idk, maybe it's just me but I feel like we sometimes overcorrect and think everything has to be green to be good. Sometimes yellow or orange is really where you want to be, you know?
