Hit 50k followers last night and it felt completely fake

I was just sharing my stained glass repair tips on TikTok for 8 months with no real growth, then one video about fixing a 1920s church window got 2 million views overnight. Now I have 50k followers and people are asking me to start a Patreon, but I still only get like 200 views on my newer stuff. Is this just a fluke or did I actually stumble into something that's gonna stick around?

That viral video was a lucky break but 200 views on the regular stuff means you need to figure out what made it click.

Read a thing the other day about how luck and skill both play a role in viral videos, @sam_murphy39.

Oh man, I gotta push back a little on that! Calling it just a lucky break really undersells what happened. Luck is part of it sure, but if a video blows up and your others don't, there's almost always something you did right that time that you can repeat. Maybe the hook was stronger, or the pacing was tighter, or you hit on a topic people actually wanted to share. The real trick is to go back and study that video frame by frame to see what you did different. Those 200 view videos are telling you what isn't working, and that's valuable data not just bad luck. You gotta treat it like a puzzle you can solve, not a coin flip.
