Hot take: I thought the whole 'posting a story highlight with a custom cover' thing on Instagram was just a dumb fad for influencers.
But after my friend in Phoenix made one for her pottery account and her follower growth jumped from maybe 10 a month to over 200 in a week, I tried it for my own page and it actually organizes my content so much better for new people... has anyone else seen a real bump from something simple like that?

Wasn't it crazy how something that seemed so pointless could actually work? I totally wrote it off as just for people trying to sell skinny tea. But I made a set for my hiking photos last month, and it's the only reason my page doesn't look like a total mess anymore. Honestly, it just makes everything make sense at a glance for someone new. I didn't get a huge follower jump like your friend, but the people who do find me now actually stick around.
