My mom sent me a TikTok about 'corecore' and I had to look it up

I found out it's a whole video style about random clips that make you feel sad or thoughtful. The weird part is a stat I saw saying over 2 billion videos have the #corecore tag now. I found that on a blog about internet culture. It feels like a fad that got huge way too fast. Do you think this kind of abstract mood posting will stick around, or is it just the next weird thing?

It's just a bunch of sad clips, not some deep new art form.

But that's exactly what makes it interesting to me! The way people are putting these clips together tells a story about shared feelings. It's not just random sad stuff, it's about finding a connection in those moments. The editing and music choice show a lot of thought. It might seem simple, but the emotion it brings up is real. That feels like a pretty big deal for a new way of making videos.

I mean, what makes something an art form to you then? Like if it makes people feel something real, isn't that kind of the point?
