Unpopular opinion: I gave up on daily vlogging after 2 years and my channel grew faster

Back in 2021, I was posting a 10 minute vlog every single day because that's what the algorithm seemed to want. I burned out hard after about 700 videos and my views were stuck at maybe 200 per video. Last fall, I switched to one deep dive video a week, like a 20 minute review of a specific camera. My subscriber count went from 5k to over 25k in 6 months. The daily grind felt like a fad everyone chased, but focusing on quality seems like the real future. Anyone else switch from quantity to quality and see better results?

Man, that burnout sounds so real. How did you even keep up with daily uploads for that long?

It's like the whole idea of busy work versus real work. Schools and offices push this constant activity that looks productive but doesn't actually build anything. Your daily vlogs were just filling a quota. The weekly deep dives are building something people actually want to come back to. The noise of daily content makes the good stuff harder to find.

Busy work versus real work" is exactly what a podcast I listen to was just talking about. They said most of what we call work is just motion, not progress.
