inThe day my salon floor became a slip-n-slide of hair spray
You mentioned the hair spray made a "slick trail," which totally makes sense it was so slippery. Just a heads up though, that slickness isn't usually from oil. Most of those strong-hold sprays are loaded with plastics and polymers (basically plastic fibers) that coat the floor, and that coating is what gets crazy slippery when it's wet.

inFiguring out non-compete clauses is driving me nuts
Makes sense they're standard for you, Keith. Have you tried asking if there's a cheaper option that still gets the job done? People forget to just ask, and it saves a lot of hassle.

inWarning: I skip the full insulation pack in wet crawl spaces
Last month, This Old House had a segment on attic moisture problems. The host explained how too much insulation can hold damp air against the roof. That's why a lighter setup often works better, letting things dry out. I tried a similar approach in my garage and no more musty smell! Really glad you found something that works for you too.

inSerious question, how do you stop a quick break from stealing your whole afternoon?
Move your break spot away from where you work. I used to swear by timers, but they just gave me an excuse to delay. What flipped the switch for me was tying my break to a simple task, like getting water. Now, I make sure my break involves moving my body, which helps me snap back to task mode. Your mileage may vary, but from what I've seen, this cuts down on the phone spiral big time.
