Heads up on that new floral foam alternative from last year

DerekMason is right about sticking with the green brick for the important stuff... it's just not worth the risk. I tried that same brand for a smaller event and had flowers leaning every which way by dessert. The problem seems to be that the eco stuff just doesn't lock the stems in the same way once it gets fully wet. For now, I'm only using the alternatives for loose, garden-style arrangements where things don't need to be perfect.

TIL my Instagram carousels pull in more saves than solo pics.

Yeah saw an article that said the algorithm pushes carousels more now.

Lots of galaxy shots on here lately. I took a photo of Jupiter and its moons with my backyard telescope. What's your go-to method for planetary imaging?

Used a 3x barlow, stacked frames, got sharp Saturn details.

Saw someone skip the fee at the Petroglyph park entry, conflicted on reporting it

Stuff like that happens everywhere now, not just parks. See it when people cut in long lines at coffee shops or take way too many free samples at stores. It's that same mindset where they think rules are for other people. Makes you wonder why some folks bother following anything if others just skip it.

Old timer showed me how to use morning light for perfect fence rows.

Call that old trick simple, but it's PURE genius. @chen.casey cracked me up with the string ceremony comparison. My neighbor does the same thing with a laser level now and spends more time setting it up than fixing the fence. Those long morning shadows don't lie and cost nothing. Sometimes the best tools have been right in front of us the whole time.
