Picked a 4K monitor over a drawing tablet for my digital art and now I am second guessing everything

I chose a Dell 27 inch 4K monitor instead of a Wacom Cintiq because I thought the color accuracy mattered more, but after a month of using it I still can not get my brush strokes to feel natural and honestly I am wondering if I made the wrong call, has anyone else run into this dilemma?

Buddy of mine bought a Huion. Returned it same week.

Honestly, one bad experience doesn't mean much. I know a bunch of people who've been using Huions for years without any problems at all. Maybe your buddy just got a lemon or didn't give it enough time.

Honestly you just made me reconsider my whole setup, I thought I was the only one.

Dude yes, I feel this so hard! I grabbed a LG 4K monitor last year thinking the same thing about colors, and honestly my line work still feels stiff and lifeless. I spent like two weeks tweaking brush settings and trying every stabilization trick I could find, but nothing made it feel like drawing on a tablet screen. I even ended up buying a cheap old Huion just to see if I was wrong, and boom, suddenly my sketches had that loose, natural flow again. The 4K is great for photo editing and watching stuff, but for actual drawing it just doesn't click the same way. How long did you give it before you started second guessing yourself?
