inPaid $65 for a bootleg copy of the banned Kmart bikini ad and it was worth every penny
That scratched tape is honestly part of the charm for me, a clean copy almost feels wrong when it's a commercial that was never supposed to survive. I've dropped $40 on a DVD-R of a regional car dealer spot that got pulled for a fake crash scene, and it played fine except for one freeze near the end. The bigger problem is when sellers hype up a banned ad but it turns out to just be the regular version with like two seconds trimmed. How did you confirm the cut on your Kmart tape was the real pulled one and not a later edit someone slapped on a label?

inWarning: the loan officer in Tulsa caught my DTI at 61% and I had to rework my whole file
That 61% number got me too, my lender forgot my $340 truck note until underwriting flagged it.

inShowerthought: I swore off dried beans for a decade over one bad pot, then did the math on a $1.29 bag
Honestly this is the same thing that happens with so many kitchen habits, one bad experience and we write off the whole thing forever instead of figuring out what actually went wrong. I did the same thing with rice for years because I burned it once, and then I learned I was just cranking the heat too high the whole time. The pattern I keep seeing is that we blame the ingredient when it was really the method, and nobody ever tells you the method because it feels too basic to explain. Same deal with dried beans, people don't soak them or they dump salt in at the start and then swear the canned stuff tastes better. Once you get the soak and the slow simmer right it's not even close, both in price and in how the beans actually taste.
