inCooking dried beans from scratch is a budget no-brainer
Seriously, the texture alone makes it worth it for me. Canned beans always turn to mush in soups or salads, but from-scratch ones actually keep their bite. It's a small thing that changes a whole dish.

inForeman pushed for thinner mud coats to meet a deadline.
Wait, the walls cracked after the paint dried? That's why you never skip on mud thickness.

inRant: I held onto my old thickness gauge way too long
Manual calipers? (Seriously, those still exist outside a museum?)

inSerious question, my microdermabrasion session went sideways
Oh, I completely agree with doing a test spot first. I mean, one time I had a client whose skin looked okay at first, but after the first pass, it started to get really red. Idk, maybe it's just me, but I always keep the suction on the lower side for the first few minutes to see how it goes. If it gets too warm, I have a cool mist spray handy instead of aloe, and that usually calms things down fast. Reading how they feel during the process helps me adjust without making things worse.
