Try pulling that mess out on a Friday afternoon.

inBought a $90 drywall lift for a basement job and it was a game changer
Renting is the move for sure. @angela416 is right, that's a solid price. I used one for a garage project last year and it was a total back saver. Trying to hold a full sheet up with one hand while you fumble for the drill with the other is a nightmare. The lift just locks it in place and you can take your time. Makes a one person job actually possible.

inI thought that actor's 'hacked' apology was just bad PR, but the leaked DMs proved it
Yeah, totally get that. I was sure a singer's breakup song was about her ex, but then an interview dropped where she said it was about her pet dog passing away. Felt like a real idiot for reading all those deep meanings into it. Sometimes the story in your head is just wrong. Makes you second guess every public mess from now on.

inShared hostel kitchens are my new favorite thing after a pancake disaster
Wasn't there a whole article about how the best travel memories come from things going wrong? Like missing a train and ending up on some weird local bus, or a meal turning into a kitchen rescue mission like your pancake thing. It makes total sense. When everything's perfect, you're just a tourist watching. But when the pancakes burn, you're suddenly in it with everyone else, trying to fix a dumb problem. That's when you actually talk to people. I guess the shared mess is the whole point.

inHot take: I used to think networking was just for salespeople until a laid-off engineer in Seattle told me his story last month.
Honestly, that feels a bit fake to me.
